Do Southwest Airlines and Volaris offer connecting service?
No. Southwest and Volaris currently do not codeshare, so scheduled service is not offered between the two carriers.
If you wish to create your own itinerary using both airlines, you must book two separate reservations and are responsible
for meeting the checkin requirements of each carrier. Southwest Airlines and Volaris do not have ticketing or baggage
agreements in place at this time and are not responsible for one another's flight information, reaccommodations,

Will my checked luggage be transferred from Southwest Airlines to Volaris or vice-versa?
No. Southwest Airlines and Volaris do not currently have a baggage agreement. If you book two separate reservations and
coordinate flights on both airlines, you will be responsible for checking in with both airlines. Furthermore, you must
claim your baggage at the destination ticketed on one airline and re-check it at the ticket counter with the other airline
providing transportation to your final destination.
For example, if you book travel on Southwest Airlines from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and have another reservation with Volaris
from Los Angeles to Toluca (Mexico City metropolitan area), you will be permitted to check baggage on Southwest to Los Angeles.
Upon arrival in Los Angeles, you must claim your checked baggage from Southwest and then check your baggage at the Volaris
ticket counter for your flight from Los Angeles to Toluca. Baggage allowances may differ between carriers, and all baggage
claims must be filed with the ticketing/operating carrier.

I plan to purchase a two-ticket itinerary traveling on both carriers. How much time should I allow between flights?
We recommend allowing a minimum of three hours between the scheduled arrival time of your inbound flight and the scheduled
departure time of your outbound flight. This recommendation is a guideline only and is intended to account for time to
claim and re-check your checked baggage, change terminals, be cleared through TSA security checkpoint, and arrive at your
departure gate in time for your next flight. Please be advised that this is a recommendation only and does not allow for
any flight irregularities that may occur. Carriers will not be responsible if Customers miss flights on either carrier.
